    About This Fundraiser

    Without a doubt, the youth in our area need activities that can build character, teach discipline and develop physical and mental skills that will better prepare them for life’s endeavors. The Sutter Buttes Thunder, Inc. was established in May of 2009 as a non-profit organization that is dedicated to teaching the female youth in our community the fundamental skills and advanced strategy of playing at a higher-level in the sport of softball, while instilling such qualities as sportsmanship, self esteem, teamwork, and work ethics. The pre-teen and teenage years are a critical age for any young lady and our organization and staff are dedicated to teaching these young ladies to not only be upstanding young women on the field, but off the field as well.  Even though we are a sports based team, we strive to teach our players good values. The Thunder girls are also taught the importance of prioritizing and balancing their time between softball, school work and other activities.  They learn that they have to work hard to get what they want and even harder to keep it.
